Making of a Supermodel: Herieth Paul

 

 

 

 

 

During an Open Casting Call for talent by Angie’s Models and Talent Agency (AMTI) Herieth Paul, then 13 years-old, walked into the agency and asked to audition for acting. AMTI owner and managing agency director, Angie Sakla-Seymour took one look at Herieth and responded, “Of course, you can try out for acting. But, you are a natural for modeling. In fact, I am confident you can be a supermodel!” The rest is history.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Herieth Paul’s first runway show was at Montreal Fashion Week. She was booked directly from the Agency by her first test pictures shot by Helena-Alexis Seymour. American modeling agency, Women NY called almost immediately. The agency’s lead agent, Andrea, stated they were very interested in representing Herieth stateside. However, regardless of Herieth’s potential, she was still 13 years-of-age. Both agencies agreed it was in the teen’s best interest to wait until she was older. Herieth kept on practicing her walk and poise. Then at 15 years-old AMTI decided she was ready. She began to walk the runways in Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, New York, London, Paris and Milan. During her first appearance at Ottawa Fashion Week, she landed on the cover of Metro newspaper. At the age of 17 her portfolio included:

– Cover of ID Magazine, 2012

– The Face of CK 1 Cosmetics, 2012-2013

– Opens for Burberry Show at London Fashion Week 2012

– Cover of Elle Canada, July issue 2011

Herieth has walked for fashion designers like Zak Posen, Diane Von Furstenberg, and Vera Wang, among others. She has posed for editorial photo spreads in magazines such as POP, Teen Vogue, Italian Vogue, America Vogue, Elle Canada and Fashion. You can see Herieth in advertisements for Diesel, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, The Bay and Bayshore Shopping Centre. Herieth, a native of Tanzania, resides with her family in Canada.
